For those of you that are new to Restaurant.com, they’re a site that offers gift certificates for local restaurants in your area (non commerical ones). Really, they’re more like coupons for $10, $25, $50 off coupons. But each coupon amount has to have a bill for a certain amount.
Ex. $25 gift certificate has a minimum $35 purchase and the tip is included in the bill prior to the discount.
So you could have a really nice meal and only paying $10 to $15 total OOP. You can’t beat that!
UPDATE: I’ve been seeing some confusion about this site and deals on other sites. To get the best use of them, buy the gift certificates like you were buying them as a gift. That way you have and when you’re ready to use it, you can then choose which restaurant you want to use. Also read the minimum before ordering. For example, most $50 GC have a minimum purchase price of $100. They’re meant for bigger orders and more people than just two.
